Raw Nerve

Butterfly

Circles

The stark sparse truth
Of circles
Without beginning or end
Cob-webbed, so delicate patterns
Leading, bending, swirling
In confusion
Yet beautiful to the eye that can see
Individual in busy purpose
But the circle is zero
Representing nothing
Yet is something
Simple and complicated
Good and bad
Perspective decides the view
The amoeba is round
As is the Earth
As are the planets
Circling each other
As magnets
Repulsed, attracted
The smallest mirror the largest
Each important to the whole
But not wholly important
The treading of paths
Of curving criss-crossed lines
Discovering all
Including ourselves.
And we are one
In this bright coloured light
Completing the circle of our truth.

Raw Nerve

Have you got Kindle? Here's another title to add!

The novel they considered too controversial! Read it before you see the film!

The black Governor of Georgia, Janice Mathias, is the leading contender in the race for the White House! The Ku Klux Klan plot an assination and much, much worse!

Gideon is the man who makes the difference when he tears the dark veil from the face of white supremacy!

Raw Nerve, the novel by Tim Rees, is now available on Kindle.

Recommended reading for everyone who loves a great thriller!

For a little over $5, which is £3 something, Raw Nerve is a serious page turner!

THE FALLEN FLOWER

The fallen flower,
Trodden in death, to death,
Beneath the heavy rubber tread.
The power of the flower dead.

The clumsy footed man,
Lumbered on thick legs, bow legs,
Carrying the gnarled twisted torso.
This man shall fall also.

Poetry is born from an observation or a simple thought. During the process of understanding, the observation or thought is marinated in feeling before being rolled around the tongue to lubricate the words that give voice to the moment...
